Arsenal star breaks impressive record in 2-0 win over Aston Villa

Aaron Ramsey has been stellar since returning from his one-month injury spell, and the last three weeks he has two goals and two assists over the course of huge wins over Sunderland, Olympiacos in a Champions League clincher, and this past Sunday against Aston Villa. Ramsey’s big performance against the Villans on Sunday also resulted in a unique broken record as well.

According to AFCPressWatch, Ramsey covered more ground in a Premier League fixture than any other player in history with 12.37 kilometers – breaking the record set earlier in the year by Liverpool midfielder James Milner (12.34 km).

Ramsey scored the second of Arsenal’s two goals in their 2-0 win over Aston Villa and earned Man of the Match honors in the process. The win also lifted Arsenal to sole possession of first place in the Premier League – a position they’ll retain until next week if Leicester City either lose or draw against Chelsea on Monday.
