Chelsea star Eden Hazard accused of faking injury because he doesn’t want to play for Jose Mourinho

Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has been accused by a Belgian newspaper of faking an injury during the side’s recent defeat to Leicester City in a bid to boycott playing for manager Jose Mourinho.

Hazard was hauled off during the first half of the Blues’ clash with Leicester following a heavy challenge from Foxes forward Jamie Vardy left the player saying that he could not carry on.

He was taken off for some treatment before re-entering the field of play, only to them walk off down the tunnel to the confusion of both Mourinho and the club’s medical staff.

And now a report in a Belgian newspaper is claiming that he made the injury seem worse than it was, despite Mourinho claiming that he was seriously hurt.

“The only thing I know is in 10 seconds he made the decision himself. It must be a serious injury as he made the decision himself and just left the pitch,” Mourinho said.

“It must be something important. His first reaction was ‘I can’t’ but then he wanted to try. Then he said he couldn’t do it and it was him in a few seconds that had three different perspectives.

“He is injured, clearly. I don’t have time to understand what the injury was during the game, now I will have time to understand. Clearly he tried, but he felt immediately he couldn’t carry on.”

Hazard will undergo a scan this week to determine the extent of the injury, though it is thought that he will be fit enough to face Sunderland at the weekend.
