Jon Flanagan nears Liverpool return with training pic on Instagram

Liverpool full-back Jon Flanagan looks to be closing in on a return to first team action after the club posted a picture of him hard at work in training.

The 22-year-old had been making headway into the first team under previous manager Brendan Rodgers, but he was ruled out for several months back in March after undergoing surgery on a long-term knee injury.

New boss Jurgen Klopp is yet to see him in action, but as this picture suggests he could soon be in line to take back to the pitch as he steps up his fitness upon his return to training.
