World-class striker would snub Arsenal & Liverpool for Manchester United, says report

According to reports in France, Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani has revealed that he’s rather play for Manchester United than Arsenal.

French source L’Equipe [via the Telegraph] reveal that the forward is unhappy with his lot at PSG and is angling for a move away from the Parc des Princes in light of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s sustained presence at the capital club.

Despite his advancing years, the Swedish talisman remains the French champions’ key attacking threat, and manager Laurent Blanc has admitted that Ibra is hampering Cavani’s progress in Ligue 1.

As such, the striker’s been linked with a move away from the Champions League hopefuls, with a trio of Premier League giants—Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United—all understood to be eyeing a move to bring him to Europe.

However, two of those sides might be able to rule themselves out immediately, with the French source noting that Cavani’s preferred destination is Old Trafford, and the Daily Star even suggesting he’d snub Arsenal to get his move to Manchester.
