Colombian celebrity gossip magazine Los 40 Principales are currently reporting that Real Madrid superstar James Rodriguez is having an affair with Russian glamour model Helga Lovekaty.
And though there is no factual basis for the rumours, press in both South America and Spain have picked up the story and ran with it.
With the 24-year-old struggling for form, several outlets have highlighted his recent weight problems, with journalist Ivan Mejia Alvarez zeroing in on this.
Alvarez even stated that the playmaker may even have “a girlfriend here and there,” which has linked him to Lovekaty.
The model has previously stated her admiration for the player, and it is also worth noting that Rodriguez’s wife, Daniela Ospina – sister of Arsenal’s David Ospina – is currently not with her husband as she partakes in the Colombian version of Dancing with the Stars.
