Premier League title odds: Bookmakers install Tottenham as new favourites after Leicester slip up

Tottenham Hotspur have been installed as the new favourites for the Premier League title.

Leicester City’s 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion last night means that Mauricio Pochettino’s side can go top of the table with victory over sixth-place West Ham United at Upton Park this evening.

Their favourable position and run of six successive top-flight wins has seen Spurs backed to win their first domestic championship in 55 years, with SkyBet now making them 6/4 frontrunners.

Leicester’s slip up against the Baggies has seen them drift out to 3/1 third favourites, with Arsenal preferred at 9/4 despite their disappointing defeat to injury-ravaged Manchester United.

Manchester City are still well in contention at 5/1. Should the Capital One Cup winners win their two games in hand, they would be within four points of the leaders – whether that is Leicester or Spurs.

These odds could change quickly, with Tottenham facing a potentially season-defining week. Their tricky trip to West Ham is followed by a massive North London derby showdown at White Hart Lane.

Two defeats for Spurs and two wins for Arsenal, who host struggling Swansea City on Wednesday, would see the title odds turned on their head. There are sure to be more twists between now and May!
