Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City target backs Man United flop to lead Dutch revival

In-demand Riechedly Bazoer has tipped Manchester United‘s Memphis Depay to help the Netherlands national side return to their former glory.

The Dutch missed out on Euro 2016 after failing to finish in the top three in their qualifying group, and demonstrated familiar failings as they were outclassed by France in an international friendly during the recent break.

However, all is not lost for Holland, who have various talented young prospects emerging on the scene, and reaffirmed their class with a friendly victory over England earlier in the week.

Certainly, Ajax midfielder Bazoer believes the new young Dutch side can restore the nation’s lost lustre.

“There are really good players arriving,” he began, speaking to Voetbal International. “If you look at those players who are playing in the U-21 side and the younger age groups, there are some excellent talents.

“I think of players like Memphis [Depay], Jurgan Locadia, Tonny Vilhena, Karim Rekik, Jean-Paul Boetius and Ricardo Kishna.”

There’s a chance that Bazoer and Depay could be teammates at club level as well next season, with the Metro reporting that United are leading the race for the teenage midfielder.

However, the Red Devils may yet face competition for the wonderkid’s services, with Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City all understood to be keen on the forward.
