The Italian’s assistant was evidently not quick enough handing him his stopwatch, and in turn it sparked an irate response from the World Cup winner who proceeded to slap him.

Gattuso built a reputation for being a fierce competitor during his playing days with the Rossoneri, and it appears as though he has taken that level of passion with him to the sidelines.

Naturally, it’s quite difficult to not find this video funny, but spare a thought for his assistant who will probably know not to make the same mistake again in the future.

Nevertheless, after unsuccessful spells in charge of the likes of Sion, Palermo and OFI Crete, Gattuso will hope that he can settle and build something with Pisa, as he will undoubtedly target the top jobs in European football further down the line.

For now though, the tension clearly got the better of him as his side claimed a victory over their Lega Pro title rivals, which allowed them to cut the gap to first-placed SPAL to five points with their win.

It is unclear as to how his players reacted to the incident, but it will serve as a warning to them to not get on the angry side of the man nicknamed ‘Ringhio’ during his playing days.
