Jamie Carragher you naughty little tease!
The Liverpool legend sent Twitter into overdrive this afternoon with this post ahead of the Monday Night Football clash between Stoke City and Premier League title chasers Tottenham Hotspur.
MNF is back tonight! A man who had a spell in Spain & came back earlier than expected will join us tonight!!

Immediately, people assumed that Carragher was talking about former MNF partner in crime Gary Neville, who was sacked by Valencia in March after a torrid four-month introduction to management.
And there was a wave of excitement about the return of the ex-Manchester United defender, whose insight and analysis has been missed by all. This funny tweet perfectly summarised the general mood.

But you do not pull the wool over my eyes that easily. I immediately smelt a rat because, if the ultra-popular pundit was making his comeback, surely Sky Sports would have plugged it to hell and back?
My theory was that it was somebody else who fitted Carragher’s description who would be making an appearance. David Moyes perhaps, or Jonathan Woodgate, who played for both Stoke and Spurs.
But this follow-up tweet from Carragher has got me stumped. Neither Moyes or Woodgate won any trophies in their short times as manager of Real Sociedad or a player with Real Madrid, respectively.
Sorry, no he’s not. The man on tonight came back with some trophies! https://t.co/fZulSVovLq

Who could this mysterious figure be? My money is now on Carragher’s one-time Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez, recently axed by Real Madrid. His Newcastle United side finally won on Saturday, after all!
