Video: Eden Hazard scoring drought is officially OVER

He was nine days away from going a full calendar year without a Premier League goal, but the reigning Premier League MVP Eden Hazard finally ended the longest league goal scoring drought of his career during Chelsea’s match against AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.

After Pedro opened up the scoring early in the match, Hazard found his opportunity thanks to some assistance from Cesc Fabregas – who was also in top form today – and made a powerful shot that slipped past Boruc for the 2nd Chelsea goal of the day and Hazard’s first BPL goal in 356 days.

It had been a very difficult season for Hazard, who scored 14 goals and added nine assists for the Blues en route to the Premier League title last year. However, prior to day he had just three BPL assists and no goals. In 37 appearances, his only two goals came in the League Cup.

Unfortunately, Hazard and many of his teammates struggled to display their 2014-15 form early in this season, and the team stumbled out the gate, claiming less than 20 points in the first half of the season and leading to Jose Mourinho’s firing.
