Leicester City’s title win may have caused misery for more than just Tottenham Hotspur. The team’s title win from the comfort of a party may actually cause a major headache for the United States’ main soccer network, NBC Sports.
After the final whistle blew at Stamford Bridge in the 2-2 draw between Chelsea and Tottenham, NBC Sports cut to a scene from a party held at Jamie Vardy’s house for the Leicester City players, where they began celebrating the title with reckless abandon.
Needless to say, there was a lot of excited swearing and loud “f*** yeah!’s” throughout the Vardy household as the newly crowned champions let their emotions run wild.
One problem: NBC Sports didn’t censor the foul language on the live broadcast.
Yikes! That’s going to earn the network a rather angry phone call from the FCC in the morning (assuming they haven’t already gotten one.
