Arsenal targeting summer transfer of EPL skipper bound for Euro 2016

Moussa Sissoko has emerged as a transfer target for Arsenal ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to the Mirror, the Newcastle United midfielder is wanted by the Gunners, with the international operator looking certain to leave the club following their relegation to the Championship.

Sissoko has drifted in and out of good form at St James’ Park, having at times looked like a world beater, while also delivering thoroughly anonymous performances.

The France international—who has been named in Didier Deschamps’ squad for the European Championships this summer—has been tipped for the exit door [as per the Mirror] and could find a new home at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal are losing midfielders Mikel Arteta and Tomas Rosicky—both out of contract—this summer, and the powerful box-to-box operator Sissoko would represent an upgrade on the veterans.
