Wonderkid admits he could leave Manchester United in the future despite fans’ song

Speaking on the eve of Manchester United‘s FA Cup final against Crystal Palace, Anthony Martial has admitted that he could leave the Red Devils in the future.

When asked about mooted interest in his services from Paris Saint-Germain, Martial refused to rule out a move in the future.

“You never know what happens in the future but certainly the fans have accepted me really well,” the French striker began, speaking to journalists [as per The Guardian], “and the fact they sing this song about me all the time shows they’re quite happy with me.”

“I just do my best to try to pay back that support,” the striker continued. “I love Manchester and I love being here and certainly I see myself being here for a good while yet.

“I’m certainly happy here,” he continued. “The way the fans have accepted me – I have got a special relationship with them and I’m grateful because they’ve always been there for me.”

Despite impressing during his early showings with the Red Devils, Martial has arguably not yet truly demonstrated that he is worth the eye-watering amount United spent to acquire the teenager from AS Monaco.

As per the BBC, United parted with an initial £36 million to sign the attacker, although the fee could yet rise to £58 million.

Manchester United flop livid after Louis van Gaal’s FA Cup final snub

Martial has featured in 31 league games this season, scoring 11 goals and contributing four assists.

The youngster’s stars are somewhat padded out with three goals in his last three EPL matches, and is still to convince that he can be a leading man for the Red Devils in the future.

Louis van Gaal will be hoping that the teenager can deliver the goods in Saturday’s FA Cup final against Crystal Palace, while Didier Deschamps will harbour similar aspirations ahead of this summer’s European Championships.
