Liverpool battling Atletico Madrid & Inter Milan for Colombian wonderkid

19-year-old forward Marlos Moreno is considered one of Colombia’s best young prospects, and he’s been pegged as a future star by being given a spot on the team’s Copa America Centenario roster – the only teenager to make the team. His potential is so high that a trio of European giants are racing to get him first – including Liverpool.

According to ESPN Brazil, Liverpool have joined the race with Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan for Moreno’s services. Moreno helped Atletico Nacional win the Superliga Colombiana this past year. He also set a club record this past year by scoring a goal against Atletico Junior in just 30 seconds. In two seasons with the club, he has five goals

The 19-year-old striker is seen as a potential replacement for Liverpool striker Christian Benteke, who struggled to find the net for long stretches of time after making a massive transfer move this past year. The Belgian striker is believed to be on the trading block after a less-than-stellar first year at Anfield.
