Watch: England’s Unofficial Euro 2016 Song – “Gonna Win The Euros”, made for less than £20

Travelling to France this summer to support England might have broken the bank, but the team who created our unofficial Euro 2016 anthem certainly did not.

Discount kings recruited a group of students from the School of Communications Arts to put together a song for the bargain price of £19.66.

The students, appropriately calling themselves The 1966, wrote, filmed and produced their track, optimistically titled “Gonna Win The Euros”, all within 24 hours.

The uplifting tune and video can be enjoyed below. It’s like a cross between The Streets and Baddiel & Skinner, and it’s available on iTunes and Spotify for only £0.59!

All proceeds from the song until July 11th 2016 will be donated to Nordoff Robbins, a charity that provides music therapy to adults and children suffering from a variety of injuries and disabilities. are trying to make supporting England cheaper with summer offers on everything from hotels and discount kits through to takeaway options, sportswear and more.

Chris Riley, General Manager of, said: “From the Spice Girls to New Order, Ant and Dec to Dizzee Rascal, the pre-tournament songs have been big budget affairs with huge names and artists trying to make their own piece of football history. Hopefully this song shows that you don’t need big budgets to show your support for England, it’s a song made by football fans for football fans, rather than capitalising on them.

“With travel companies raising prices for fans travelling to the Euros, sports retailers providing more new kits to buy and countless opportunities to get yourself down the pub, supporting England this summer could be very expensive. With numerous discounts ranging from cheaper hotel bookings, restaurant deals, takeaway options and money saving sport offers – we can help bring the cost of supporting the Three Lions down.”
