Twitter: England star Joe Hart blasted after arrogant claim following Slovakia draw

England goalkeeper Joe Hart insisted after the 0-0 draw with Slovakia that he ‘hasn’t had anything to do at Euro 2016’, which in turn drew an angry reaction from fans.

“We all wanted to finish top but we didn’t. We have dominated every corner of the pitch and every Slovakian player will be proud of that result,” he told ITV.

“We are into the next round and nobody will want to play us. I haven’t had anything to do in the whole tournament to be honest, we have been playing very well as a team.”

That obviously isn’t entirely true Joe, as aside from Vasili Berezutski’s header beating him in the first game of the tournament, the Manchester City shot-stopper was at fault for letting in Gareth Bale’s free-kick in the win over Wales.

Fortunately for him, he was bailed out by his teammates on that occasion. However, moving forward, whether he has a lot to do or not, he has to remain focused and keep his concentration like all world-class goalkeepers to make sure that he’s alert to danger throughout.

Some England fans were obviously not impressed…
