Lionel Messi at war with Neymar which could force Barcelona star out

According to a Spanish reporter, Barcelona pair Lionel Messi and Neymar are at odds with one another and it could lead to the latter being forced out.

The issue centres around the suggestion that Neymar’s ego is the reason behind Messi’s dislike, while in return, Neymar doesn’t believe that he’ll be able to win the Ballon d’Or and reach the pinnacle of the sport while playing in his Argentine teammate’s shadow.

Furthermore, it is claimed that the Brazilian’s relationship with coach Luis Enrique is “even worse”, and it looks as though it could force them to split their feared attacking trident up.

“Messi doesn’t like Neymar’s ego, who, in turn, doesn’t see how he could win the Ballon d’Or alongside Messi,” Eduardo Inda of Ok Diario reported.

“Relations with Luis Enrique are even worse than with Messi.

“He said in the locker room, ‘That is it’ in front of all his companions.”

It remains to be seen whether or not there is movement in the transfer market this summer, with Neymar previously linked with three clubs willing to pay the release clause in his contract to prise him away from the Nou Camp.

While the partnership between Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez has been lethal and brought significant amounts of success to the Catalan giants, harmony in the dressing room is always key and that in turn could see them allow the Brazilian international to move on ahead of next season.

PSG, Manchester United and Real Madrid are all likely to be monitoring the situation closely, and they will undoubtedly be real options for Neymar to become the main protagonist unlike at Barca.
