Real Madrid target Arsenal star as Raphael Varane replacement

Real Madrid’s impending loss could be Arsenal’s as well as the Champions League winners have set their eyes on Laurent Koscielny to fill the void for one of their potential summer losses.

According to the Metro, Real Madrid are going after Koscielny as a replacement for Raphael Varane in the event their star centre-back signs with Paris Saint-Germain.

Koscielny started 44 games for the Gunners across all competitions this past season, scoring four Premier League goals and earning Man of the Match honours four times. He has played in the majority of all games for Arsenal since making the switch from Lorient in 2010.

In six seasons with Arsenal, Koscielny has played 180 Premier League games and scored 15 goals. He has made grand total of 248 appearances and 18 goals across all competitions for the Gunners.

On the international level, Koscielny has been capped 29 times for France and scored his first-ever international goal for Les Bleus in a June friendly against Scotland. He has played the full ninety minutes for each of France’s games in Euro 2016.
