Serie A giants slap £38m price tag on Man United & Arsenal target

Numerous clubs have been vying for a chance to sign Roma defender Kostas Manolas, but the move could prove more difficult than ever with the Serie A giants increasing his transfer fee.

According to Shoot, Roma have placed a £38 million price tag on Manolas amidst interest in the Greek defender from Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea.

Per the source, Roma are reluctant to sell the star defender due to injuries to the defense.

Manolas started 44 of 45 appearances for Roma and was featured heavily in their Champions League bid this past season – playing all 720 of their group stage run. He has played in 250 games in all club competitions since making his debut with Thrasyvoulos in the the 2008-09 Greek Super League season.

All three clubs displayed defensive struggles in big games last year, and would likely appreciate bringing an experienced defender into the fold – especially one with significant reps in the Champions League.
