Man City striker wants top-tier football

Manchester City striker Enes Unal wants Eredivisie football next season despite being closely linked with a move to Dutch second-tier outfit NAC Breda.

A course close to the player told Emre Sarigul that Unal is pushing for a move to the Eredivisie on loan next season.

The 19-year-old striker scored nine times and provide two assists in 11 games for NAC Breda after joining the club in January.

NAC narrowly missed out on promotion but the club does have an agreement with City regarding youth development according to the Manchester Evening News.

The Premier League giants signed a five-year deal with NAC last April which will result in City sending over four to six players between the ages of 18 and 21 to the Dutch side.

Unal does not however, want to be among the players sent to NAC and instead wants to prove himself in the Eredivisie.

The Turkish intentional striker is currently unable to star in England next season due to not having a work permit – Unal is not an EU citizen.
