Paul Pogba to Manchester United: Done deal as French ace set to fly to England

According to reports in Italy, Paul Pogba is now all-but a Manchester United player as he counts down to undergoing a medical in England.

The 23-year-old is currently still in the USA on his post-Euro 2016 holiday, but developments regarding his club future have been on-going for weeks.

Pogba has been told that details are being finalised over his move from Juventus to United, and he’s now ready to leave for England as soon as the Bianconeri give him the final go-ahead to carry out a medical for the Red Devils, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The pink paper adds that the deal is now essentially agreed between all parties. Juve, United, Pogba and agent Mino Raiola are all happy with the terms, and the French international is now set to become the most expensive player in football history.

United will pay €110m to Juve, as per Gazzetta, with Pogba signing a five-year deal worth €12m plus bonuses per year in a staggering contract that will see him earn significantly more than he does currently in Turin.

It is expected that an official announcement will arrive in the coming days, although ultimately the last thing left is for Juve to sign off the deal to allow Pogba to undergo the medical and finally secure his return to Old Trafford.

The midfielder has been linked with a move to Manchester all summer, and Jose Mourinho will certainly welcome him with open arms as he looks to add another crucial piece to his puzzle at United.

The Portuguese tactician has already moved for Eric Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer, and he has strengthened and rebuilt the spine of his team ahead of first season in charge of the Premier League giants.
