Arsenal are yet to submit a £30 million offer for Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez according to the Daily Star.
Per the source, the Gunners are favourites to sign the Algerian international and he is reported to be keen on a switch to the North London based outfit.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen on Mahrez and was reported to have a £30 million bid but it now turned out than an offer has not been made for the PFA Player of the Year.
Wenger is under pressure to make a star signing to strengthen the side after the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea all invested heavily over the summer.
Mahrez had an impressive season scoring 17 times and setting up 11 assists for the Foxes who won their first Premier League trophy in their 132-year history.
Arsenal could face competition from La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona for Mahrez’s signature and Chelsea had also been linked with the 25-year-old.
