Arsenal saw yet another transfer target slip though their fingers after Riyad Mahrez put pen-to-paper on a four year deal with Leicester City as reported by The Sun.
Gunners fans reacted to the latest transfer blow with a hashtag – #Kroenkeout calling for club owner Stan Kroenke to resign.
Here is a Youtube video from one Arsenal fan explaining the reasoning behind the hashtag.
If you don’t have time to watch it all the crux of the argument is that Kroenke is responsible for fostering a culture at the club that is more concerned about turning a profit than wining trophies.
The Gunners have not actually won the league for a decade now and have been outshone and outspent in the transfer market by their rivals this summer.
The hashtag soon started trending as disgruntled Arsenal fans showed their frustration by tagging along to the movement on Twitter.
#KroenkeOut agree with this 100%. Arsenal deserve better and this man has made the whole of the fanbase hate Wenger. Get out. Spend money.

The club should be run by a man who has ambitions for progress instead of for profits.

Kroenke hasn't spent £1 of his own money on transfers but bought a ranch for 725 million in February, doesn't that say it all? #KroenkeOut

Is Kroenke responsible for the Gunners lack of ambition in the transfer market and lack of silverware over the past decade?
Kroenke is likely to stay on despite the protests as is Arsene Wenger who will lead his side against reigning Premier League champions Leicester City on the weekend.
