Arsenal transfer news: Jack Wilshere close to Gunners exit following meeting with Premier League club

Jack Wilshere looks set to remain in London following a meeting with Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew according to the Express.

Per-the-source, Palace are hoping to sign Wilshere on a season-long loan. The report states that Wilshere met with the Eagles manager on Tuesday and the transfer is expected to be be wrapped up before the deadline on Wednesday.

The Express go onto state that Celtic, Watford, Bournemouth, West Brom, AS Roma and Valencia are also interested in the England international.

Wilshere has been blighted by injuries during his career, which have restricted him to just 159 appearances in eight years for Arsenal. The 24-year-old was included in England’s Euro 2016 squad but looked far from full fitness and subsequently failed to impress.

Meanwhile, The Mirror reports that Wilshere has fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal following the £30 million signing Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach.
