Chelsea’s latest signing David Luiz has stated that he is ‘delighted ‘ to have rejoined the Blues.
According to SkySports, the London based side re-signed Luiz for £30 million from PSG. Interestingly, Chelsea offloaded the Brazil international to PSG for £50 million back in 2014.
The Blues released a statement on their official website stating that Luiz has signed a three-year deal keeping him at Stamford Bridge until summer 2019.
“I’m delighted to return to Chelsea. We had a fantastic story during my first time at the club and I want to help the team and Antonio Conte achieve a lot of success,” Luiz was quoted as saying.
“I always had a wonderful relationship with the fans and I am looking forward to wearing the blue shirt at Stamford Bridge once again.”
Luiz provided three assists and scored three goals in 40 appearances in all competitions for PSG last season. The transfer was completed in the closing hours of transfer deadline day.
Chelsea take on Swansea City in their next Premier League fixture on September 11.
