Liverpool’s star midfielder Emre Can has taken to social media to thank and bid farewell to Manchester United’s Bastian Schweinsteiger.
Schweinsteiger played his final game for the Germany national team. The experinced midfielder was left in tears as he plays his final international game for his nation.
Can uploaded a picture to his official Instagram account with the caption, “Thank you. Captain. Legend.”
The 22-year-old sat out of Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Tottenham over the weekend after suffering an ankle injury during the week. The box-to-box midfielder has played just 45 minutes of football this season following an extended summer break after Euro 2016.
