Tottenham suffer major blow as star striker who scored 62 goals over past three seasons is ruled out for up to 10 weeks

Tottenham title hopes have suffered a major blow this week following the injury to Harry Kane.

According to The Sun, Tottenham expect Kane to be ruled out for ten weeks with an injury in his right ankle.

The 23-year-old was taken off the field on a stretcher during Spurs 1-0 win over Sunderland after going down injured.

Per-the-source, Kane has not broken any bones however, he may have damaged ligaments in his ankle. The north London based club are awaiting the results of Monday’s scan.

Kane has been an integral component of Tottenham’s success in recent years and has scored 62 goals in the past three seasons.

The England international also won the Premier League Golden Boot with 25 goals last term.

The injury may see Kane miss the North London derby at Arsenal on November 6. The 23-year-old may also be sidelined for England’s World Cup qualifiers against Malta and Slovenia next month.
