Manchester United praised star midfielder Ander Herrera via the official club twitter account following his first call up to the Spain national team.
United shared a picture of Herrera alongside a message congratulating Herrera on his personal achievement.
The 27-year-old midfielder has established himself as a first team regular for United under the stewardship of Jose Mourinho this season and has a goal as well as an assist in eight appearances.
Spain will take on Italy next before and away trip to Albania as part of their World Cup qualification campaign.
