Man Utd legend Andy Cole believes Liverpool can win Premier League

Andy Cole is a Manchester United legend but his latest comments will not go down too well with the Red Devils fans. The former United star praised rivals Liverpool for their playing style under the stewardship of Jurgen Klopp and that they are a title threat.

Cole revealed that he ‘loves’ the Liverpool attack and described the way they play as being ‘sexy’. The former striker also stated that he feels Daniel Sturridge is the best forward in England and that he feels Klopp has injected a lot of energy into the side.

“I love what they have going forward,’ said ex-United striker Cole. ‘I think in attack they are sexy. The goals can come from all over the park. That is what I do like,” Cole was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail

“Klopp bringing in Sadio Mane… I think (Daniel) Sturridge is England’s best centre forward, when you have got players like that you are going to score goals, you are going to create goals.

“Are they a title threat? Yes I think they are because Klopp has got them playing with so much energy now.”

No other club in the league has scored more than Liverpool’s 18 this season. The Reds have won their last four consecutive league games and take on rivals United at Anfield on Monday in arguably the most highly anticipated match of the week.

Liverpool are currently just two points off league leaders Manchester City. United meanwhile have been less consistent recently and are in sixth place on 13 points after their first seven games under the stewardship of Jose Mourinho.
