Napoli were expected to cruise past Besiktas but went into the half time break losing 2-1.
The home side applied much of the early pressure but Besiktas ended up scoring with their first attack of the game on 13 minutes when Ricardo Quaresma found Adriano at the near post.
Napoli equalised soon after but then shot themselves in the foot when Jorginho’s backwards pass found Aboubakar instead who found the back of the net to put the away side ahead for the second time.
