Ex-Liverpool man revels in former Reds hero agreeing with contentious suggestion

John Arne Riise has long been calling for Mamadou Sakho to be reintegrated into the Liverpool squad, and he’s delighted someone else agrees with him.

Former Liverpool man John Aldridge has echoed his thoughts and believes that Jurgen Klopp should bring the Frenchman back into the fold after being frozen out for well over a year now.

Having spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace, the 27-year-old hasn’t been forgiven after falling out with Klopp following a series of disciplinary issues, and for the time being it doesn’t look as though the situation will be resolved.

With just under two weeks to go in the summer transfer window, Sakho could yet find himself leaving Anfield, but Riise, who hit back at a fan on Twitter and told him to “grow up” when he slammed Sakho’s commitment to the club, is adamant that the French international should be given another chance.

The former Norwegian international is currently in Jakarta as part of a charity run as he enjoys a close relationship with the Premier League giants despite leaving Anfield well over a decade ago.

These days, he’s content with charity work, punditry and a spot of gambling as he’s been seen on the poker scene in recent times visiting big events in Las Vegas, as noted by Poker News.

However, he may well want to look closer to home in the near future, as Casinopedia report that online poker and casinos are booming in Norway, with the Scandinavian country said to be leading the charge in online casinos across the region.

With online gambling laws and regulations relaxed a few years ago, there has been a huge appetite for online poker and other casino games as well as the ever-popular sports betting.

With one of the largest selections of games and a license from Malta, where better to start than VeraJohn Casino who make the gaming experience fun while offering various promotions and exciting features to emerge as the best spot for your casino needs.

Riise is still a popular figure in his homeland having made 110 appearances for his country during his playing days, and so it would arguably make a lot of sense to see him involved in the online casino scene moving forward to continue it’s rapid growth and popularity.
