Real Madrid will look to bring Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford to the Bernabeu with Gareth Bale expected to depart the Spanish capital at the end of the season.

Reports from the Spanish sports outlet Fichajes suggest that Madrid are closely monitoring the 19-year-old England star and see him as a possible successor to Bale who looks more and more likely to depart Real.

Rashford has established himself as one of the most promising talents in world football after breaking into the Man United side less than two years ago. The teenager has scored five goals and registered four assists in all competitions already so far this season and has pushed the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial for places in the United starting eleven.

Gareth Bale however has struggled recently and now looks set to be shown the door. Italian news outlet CalcioMercato have stated that the board at Madrid have grown frustrated with the Welshman and will now look to show him the door come next summer.

While the news that perhaps the most powerful club in world football are monitoring United’s golden boy will worry the Red Devils, the news concerning Gareth Bale’s future will be music to the ears of all United fans.

The Reds have been linked to the Welshman for quite some time now with The Mirror reporting just yesterday evening that a deal to bring Bale to Old Trafford is potentially being negotiated.
