Real Madrid plotting transfer raid on Manchester United & Tottenham in stunning five-man spending spree

Real Madrid are ready to spend their way out of trouble.

Real Madrid are reportedly ready to respond to this season’s poor performances by splashing the cash on five new players in next summer’s transfer window.

Among them, three big names have been identified from the Premier League, with Florentino Perez said to be keen on additions in goal, defence, and attack.

Don Balon recently claimed Cristiano Ronaldo was keen for Real to try to bring in Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen in midfield, but he does not seem to be a priority for Perez.

Instead, the same source are now listing these three talents from Manchester United and Spurs as three of five possible new ‘Galacticos’ for next season to get Madrid out of their current slump.

1) David de Gea (Manchester United)

First up, United goalkeeper David de Gea is apparently being lined up in goal to replace Keylor Navas, who has never quite looked quite at the required level to replace a club legend like Iker Casillas.

Diario Gol recently reported that Liverpool could be interested in the Costa Rica international, so it may be that he’ll be on his way out as De Gea is then able to be brought in as the club’s new number one.

United won’t want to sell one of their most important players, but Don Balon claim he’s firmly in Madrid’s sights again after that botched transfer fell through right at the last minute back in the summer of 2015, as reported at the time by BBC Sport.

2) Harry Kane (Tottenham)

Don Balon claim that second on Real’s list is Tottenham striker Harry Kane, which is little surprise considering his exceptional goalscoring exploits so far this season.

The England international looks one of the most lethal centre-forwards in the game right now, having consistently found the back of the net for Spurs in 2017.

Kane has 38 goals in this calendar year, and would surely be a significant upgrade on Karim Benzema up top at the Bernabeu, with the Frenchman looking past his peak after a slow start to this campaign.

3) Dele Alli (Tottenham)

Finally, Kane’s Spurs team-mate Dele Alli is also on the Madrid agenda, with the 21-year-old surely one of the most exciting young players on the planet right now.

Alli netted twice against Real in this week’s Champions League win for Tottenham at Wembley, and clearly made an impression on Perez as he begins to weigh up reviving his team next season.

With Gareth Bale another attacking player not at his best this season, it makes sense that Real are, according to Don Balon, looking at Alli as a long-term replacement in that area of the pitch as they look to put together another group of Galacticos for the next few years.

The report also states that as-yet unnamed additions could be made at centre-back and right-back, so English clubs may need to keep an eye on their top defensive players ahead of next summer as well.

Can Real possibly succeed in raiding the Premier League for so much top talent?
