Former Liverpool star John Arne Riise has tweeted that he plans to send some talent over to Anfield after announcing he is to become a football agent.

Riise, 37,  spent seven years on Liverpool’s books, becoming something of a cult hero for his occasional wonder-goals with that hammer of a left foot of his.

The Norwegian announced his retirement from playing back in June 2016, and tweeted today that he’s moving into working with talent agencies.

‘I’m proud to announce I’m now a football agent. I’ve been on both sides of the table and I look forward to help players fulfill their potential and give them guidance throughout their career.A massive thank you to my partners for this opportunity @vasilikatz @globalfinestathletes (sic).’

The Liverpool Echo then tweeted their message of good luck, to which Riise tweeted an exciting response:

It remains to be seen what kind of clients Riise will end up working with, but Liverpool could always do with an extra helping hand in the transfer market.

Riise himself was not the biggest name when he arrived at Anfield, so could prove useful if he unearths some other exciting young talents in his native Norway.
