Ryan Giggs has finally landed a job in football but it’s not with a club you’d expect. The Manchester United legend has been hired as a youth director for a Vietnamese club with his fellow ex-team-mate Paul Scholes expected to join him.
A report from The Sun has revealed that the Welshman has landed a job in Vietnam signing a two-year contract with the Promotion Fund of Vietnamese Football Talents FC with Giggs expected to start as early as next week.
Further, Paul Scholes is expected to link up his former Manchester United teammate with the report stating that he is also likely to help with coaching duties and more.
Just last month the Independent reported that Giggs was interested in both the vacant Everton and Leicester City jobs with the Welshman keen to to get into management.
The former United star’s only real break into management was in the 2013/14 season when he took over for the remainder of United’s league games after the Reds parted ways with David Moyes.
It’s certainly not the job we expected to see Giggs go into but we can only hope it is just a small stepping stone for the Welshman who will hopefully return to English football for a top job sometime soon.
