Arsenal vs Chelsea : Back our 3/1 tip on tonight’s potential epic at the Emirates

We’re set for a Wednesday night belter as Arsenal entertain Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium as we bring you our best bets for tonights match.

New year, same problems for Arsenal as they remain six points adrift of the top four following a disappointing draw at the Hawthorns on New Year’s Eve.

The Gunners conceded a controversial late equaliser which left players and management raging, resulting in Wenger being charged by the FA for his conduct towards match officials.

Arsenal can make amends and close the gap on the top four when they host rivals Chelsea at the Emirates later this evening.

Conte’s side are currently third and two points behind Man United in second after an unbeaten run of six league games, which includes four clean sheets.

The Blues are well placed to achieve a top four finish and are seven points ahead of Wenger’s side who occupy sixth spot in the league.

The reverse encounter ended in a stalemate at Stamford Bridge and it would be no surprise to see the same result. This is a game that neither manager will want to lose, obviously, but away from home you’d expect Conte to settle for a point.

While Wenger will not want to lose further ground on the top four or momentum.

Wenger will be without a number of key first team players including Ozil, Aaron Ramsey, Olivier Giroud and Nacho Monreal who are all sidelined through injury.

Alexis Sanchez is expected to make an appearance despite ongoing transfer speculation, while Laurent Koscielny has been given only a 30 per cent chance of playing, which gives the Blues fresh impotus going forward.

As for Chelsea they have no fresh injury problems.

The Gunners have failed to score in seven of their last nine league games against Chelsea, and I predict another Chelsea clean sheet tonight and the win which is best priced at 3/1 with Paddy Power (don’t forget new customers can use their £20 matched bet).

Chelsea have also tightned up at the back in recent weeks and its now four clean sheets in a row. Arsenal will no doubt dominate possession while Conte’s side can sit back and look to hit the Gunners on the counter attack.

Eden Hazard was rested against Stoke and he’s likely to start and should be raring to go. The Belgian is 7/1 to open the scoring and looks a handy price considering the Belgian also takes the penalties.

Despite home advantage Arsenal are the outsiders heading into this one. And I’m going to go with the money.

Chelsea to win at 8/5 looks a decent price for a side in such good form and that cannot be ignored while the 3/1 for the Blues to win to nil is dripping in value.
