Manchester United cleared to complete £45million SWOOP for Arsenal transfer target

Manchester United have been handed a huge boost in their pursuit of Bordeaux forward Malcom as Tottenham ended their interest in a January transfer.

The Brazil international has sparked plenty of interest of late after his fine form in Ligue 1, with his club now valuing him at around £45million in the transfer market.

United could do with more options in attack and are also looking at Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez, though Malcom would be a fine alternative.

Arsenal themselves are also looking at the 20-year-old as a potential replacement if Sanchez does make his way to Old Trafford, but Tottenham are at least out of the running.

Manchester United handed huge Malcom transfer boost

According to the Daily Mail, Spurs pulling out has left it as a two-way battle between United and Arsenal – one you’d expect the Red Devils to win if they don’t end up poaching Sanchez from their rivals.

Jose Mourinho is known for being clinical in the transfer market, while Arsene Wenger has often dithered about in recent years, resulting in missing out on some big names.

Malcom can play a variety of attacking midfield and wide roles, so could be just what United need to kick-start their season in the second half of this campaign.
