‘Bin him now please’ – Arsenal fans livid after horrendous Cech howler

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech will want to forget about this moment as quick as possible as his howler gifted Swansea City a goal on Tuesday night.

The 35-year-old looked set to make a standard clearance from a pass back, but he managed to badly scuff his attempt and Andre Ayew was on hand to take full advantage and tap it into the back of the net.

Given the amount of experience and quality he possesses after years performing at a high level, this is a very poor bit of play from the veteran, with statistics suggesting he’s now committed four errors that have directly led to an opposition goal in the Premier League this season.

That’s the most for any player in the top flight, and it’s debatable as to whether or not that should be a bigger concern for Arsenal and Arsene Wenger who has shown plenty of faith in the shot-stopper at the expense of the likes of Wojciech Szceszny who moved on last year due to being behind Cech in the pecking order.

Based on the comments below, it’s fair to say that these Arsenal fans were far from impressed with Cech, and it could prove costly given it handed Swansea the lead in a game in which the Gunners had opened the scoring.
