Jose Mourinho in talks to sign £220m trio for Manchester United, including Liverpool and Chelsea targets

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is in talks over a stunning £220million triple transfer deal for the club this summer.

According to various recent reports, it looks as though United’s summer transfer plans are starting to fall into shape as they prepare for a challenging season in 2018/19.

It’s vital the Red Devils spend big to close the gap on neighbours Manchester City, who themselves will only continue to invest and strengthen their world class squad.

Based on latest transfer news and speculation, here’s three signings that look to be on their way to Old Trafford as Mourinho gets to work on making some summer additions…

Isco (Real Madrid)

Isco would make a fine transfer addition for Manchester United

According to reports in Spain, a deal for Real Madrid playmaker Isco could be back on as Manchester City pull out of the running.

The Premier League champions are said to be unwilling to pay the Spaniard’s £70million asking price, though that shouldn’t be too much for United by any stretch, while Liverpool and Chelsea could also be in the running.

Adding a creative player like Isco has to be a priority for Mourinho this summer and he seems an ideal upgrade on under-performing players like Paul Pogba and Juan Mata in that area of the pitch.

There’s also talk that Zinedine Zidane could leave Isco out of his XI to play Liverpool in the Champions League final, which would surely signal his departure at the Bernabeu.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (Lazio)

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic looks set for a transfer to Manchester United

The Sun claim a breakthrough has been made for Manchester United to sign Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic for £80million this summer.

The 23-year-old is one of European football’s biggest young talents and would be an ideal replacement for Michael Carrick in that deep-lying midfield role.

The Serbian can also play further forward and is another ideal addition to a Red Devils side that have been sluggish in terms of moving the ball forward through the middle this season.

If the Milinkovic-Savic deal is done, then that’s a great first piece of business by Mourinho this summer and a major statement ahead of next season.

Alisson (Roma)

Roma goalkeeper Alisson is wanted by the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool

Finally, reports in Italy state United have joined Liverpool in the running to sign £70million Roma goalkeeper Alisson in a surprise move.

This could mean there’s doubt over the future of David de Gea at Old Trafford following continued links with Real Madrid in recent months.

Alisson himself has been linked with Madrid so it seems likely they’re in the market for a top class ‘keeper, and if he does replace De Gea at United then they could certainly do far worse in their bid to replace the world class Spanish shot-stopper.

Getting one over rivals Liverpool by landing the Brazilian would also be a fine move, so all the more reason for United to push this one through.
