Real Madrid sealing €220M transfer swoop for world class trio could help club reclaim league title back from Barcelona

It’s clear to see that this season wasn’t Real Madrid’s best campaign in the league, with the club stumbling to a third-placed finish and ending the season miles behind rivals Barcelona.

Los Blancos did manage to win the Champions League, their third in a row, however their league performance saw a lot of fans lose a bit of their faith in former manager Zinedine Zidane.

Despite their successes in Europe, even the smallest of fans could see that the club always tend to struggle in the league, with the club having only won two league titles in the last 10 years, with rivals Barcelona picking up seven of those.

The current Real Madrid squad have proven time and time again that they are capable of doing better than all in the 13-game Champions League, however over a 38-game league season, the club always tend to struggle with being consistent and keeping up with Barcelona.

So, we’ve picked out three targets that, if the club were to sign, could help them significantly in their pursuit to take the league title back from Barcelona next season.

Thiago – €70M

An area that Real don’t have the greatest of depth in in central midfield, something that could easily be solved should they wrap up a deal to bring Thiago Alcantara back to La Liga.

Having left Spain for Germany in 2013, the midfielder has impressed fans with his displays for Bayern Munich, displays that have seen him cement his place in Spain’s first team.

The Spaniard’s creativity on the ball and ability to recycle possession is something that has seen him fit into both Barcelona and Bayern Munich’s sides with ease, and is an element that Real could certainly use in their first eleven.

Don Balon have stated that the club are keen on Thiago, with Marca reporting that Bayern want €70M for his signature, a price that’ll seem like peanuts if he can perform like he does for Bayern in the white shirt of Madrid.

Real signing Thiago could change the way they retain possession going forward

N’Golo Kante – €80M

Since emerging onto the scene for Leicester City in their Premier League title win in the 2015/16 season, Kante has since been regarded by fans around the world as one of the hardest working and most effective midfielders in the world.

The French international moved to Chelsea’s after Leicester’s title win, something that helped the Blues win their own league title that season, as well as the FA Cup this season.

A problem Real came up against last season was teams catching them on the counter attack and scoring, something that should be easily negated should Kante end up at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Diario Gol have stated in the past that Real are keen on the French international, and that they could make an offer of €80M to sign him, a great price for a player of his unique quality.

Kante would make a great signing in the middle of the park for Madrid

Alisson – €70M

Despite being impressive for the most part of this season, Keylor Navas still wasn’t as his best for the Spanish giants, something that should be somewhat alarming to Madrid fans.

The Costa Rican was shaky in part for Los Blancos as they conceded a whopping 44 goals in the league, a poor defensive record for a team of Madrid’s quality and stature.

Because of this, it would make sense to move for a new ‘keeper in the form of Alisson, a player who was hugely impressive for Italian giants Roma this season.

CalcioMercato has stated that the Brazilian is a target for Real, and that Roma value him at €70M, a decent price for someone who could earn them 10-15 points a season.

Alisson would make a great replacement for Navas at the Santiago Bernabeu

Should Real tie up deals for these three aforementioned players, there’s absolutely no reason why the club can’t go all the way in the league next season and reclaim the league title they won back in 2017 off of fierce rivals Barcelona.
