Liverpool and Chelsea face a battle from fellow Premier League side Everton in the race to sign Barcelona defender Yerry Mina this summer, with the Toffees willing to fork out €24M for the centre-back.

This is according to Diario Gol, who are stating that all three of the Premier League sides have asked about signing the Colombian international this summer, and that is isn’t very likely that we’ll see the player still at the Spanish giants come the end of the transfer window.

The news outlet are also stating that despite this interest, the player’s agent has stated that there has been nothing decided about his future yet, and that the player will depart the Nou Camp if he cannot get first team football.

Mina has attracted interest from Liverpool, Chelsea and Everton so far this summer window

Despite putting in below-par performances for the Blaugrana during the second half of last season, Mina impressed thoroughly for his national team during this summer’s World Cup.

The defender scored three goals for Colombia during this summer’s tournament, with two of these being vital goals in his side’s journey to the round of 16, where they eventually lost on penalties to England.

The player certainly looked out of his depth when asked to play for Ernesto Valverde’s side this season just gone, but here’s hoping he can secure a move away from the club and rejuvenate himself in the Premier League next campaign.
