Real Madrid are eyeing a move for Valencia and Spain forward Rodrigo, with Los Blancos aiming to bring him in for €50M despite his release clause sitting at €120M.

This is being reported by Don Balon, who are stating that new manager Julen Lopetegui is a big fan of Rodrigo, and that he would slot in nicely to his Madrid side.

The news outlet also report that the European champions are only want to pay a maximum of €50M for Rodrigo, a price that some would call a bargain for a player of his quality.

Real are looking to secure a deal for Rodrigo that is significantly less than his release clause

Since moving to Los Che from Benfica in the summer of 2014, Rodrigo has managed to develop into one of La Liga’s most dangerous forwards.

The 27-year-old managed to score 16 and assist seven in 37 La Liga appearances last term as he helped his side qualify for the Champions League for the first time since 2015.

The Spaniard’s blistering speed and superb finishing ability makes him a big threat for Valencia, and certainly sees him eyed as a danger man by opposition.

Real Madrid landing Rodrigo for €50M would be an absolute steal, and is a deal that, if it were to get over the line, would be one of the best that any Spanish side would be getting this transfer window.
