Some Liverpool fans took to Twitter this evening to call for the club to sign France and Lyon star Nabil Fekir, after it was reported that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is set to be out for the long-term with injury.
BBC Sport are stating that the England international is expected to miss a large part of the 2018/19 season through injury, something that has seen Reds fans call for the club to sign Fekir.
The Express report that the Merseyside clubs pulled out of a deal to sign Fekir after they almost signed the Frenchman earlier this summer, however fans have now called for the club so make a move for the player now they’re set to miss Oxlade-Chamberlain this campaign coming up.
With the club having stars such as Naby Keita, Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Adam Lallana and Georginio Wijnaldum at the club, it seems like they don’t really Fekir, but this hasn’t stopped their fans calling for Fekir to move to Anfield this summer.
Here are a few select tweets from fans calling for Fekir to join them after their devastating Oxlade-Chamberlain news.

With Ox’s injury, we defo need Fekir in, and for Gini to stay. #LFC

Ox missing the season means we definitely need one more attacking CM, which we’d assume its Fekir. It also means Lallana stays at LFC this season.

We pretty much have to get Fekir now, considering Ox is out for the entire season. We need that creative outlet
