Barcelona are going to have to fend off competition from Chelsea if they want to bring Juventus and Bosnia midfielder Miralem Pjanic to the Nou Camp this summer.

This is according to Don Balon, who note that Maurizio Sarri has asked the Blues to join the race for Pjanic, and that Man City are also in the hunt for the player.

Don Balon have reported in the past that Lionel Messi wants the club to bring Pjanic to Catalonia this summer, and that the Italian giants have set an asking price of €100M on the player’s head.

Chelsea have joined Barcelona in the hunt to land a deal for Pjanic this summer

With players such as Cesc Fabregas and Tiemoue Bakayoko failing to impress a whole host of Blues fans last season, it’s easy to see why the club want to bring in Pjanic this summer.

With Maurizio Sarri now in charge at Stamford Bridge, the Italian will be looking to bring the style of football to the Premier League that saw a lot of fans take notice of Napoli during his time in Naples.

Barcelona themselves will surely be on the lookout for central midfielder following Andres Iniesta’s departure, so it seems like these two could be set for a huge battle in the race to land one of Serie A’s best midfielders.
