Real Madrid want to get rid of a certain star this summer may be about to fall flat it’s face this summer due to the player having other ideas.
Don Balon are stating that the Frenchman doesn’t want to leave the Spanish giants this summer, and that the club themselves were hoping to raise funds by selling the player.
Don Balon have also reported in the past that the club have an asking price of €100M for the forward, however this doesn’t seem like it’s going to matter if Benzema isn’t willing to depart the Bernabeu.
Benzema has been somewhat shocking for Los Blancos these past few seasons, with the French forward only managing to bag a handful of goals in La Liga.
The former Lyon striker has only bagged 16 goals in his last 61 appearances in the league, a return that just simply isn’t good enough for a player who is leading the line for one of the world’s biggest and best teams.
With Cristiano Ronaldo now gone, Real will be needing to rely on other stars to drag the team through the dirt when needed, and it doesn’t seem like Benzema is capable of doing this anymore.
Selling Benzema would be a smart move from the Spanish giants, however it doesn’t seem as if the club are going to be successful in their attempts at doing it before the close of the transfer window.
