With Andres Iniesta and Paulinho now gone, and stars like Andre Gomes failing to pull their weight, Barcelona are looking somewhat weak in midfielder ahead of the new season.

Diario Gol are stating that the Barca superstar is urging the club to sign Rabiot from PSG this summer, and that the player himself is up for leaving PSG for Barca rather than staying.

The report also states that Barca president Josep Maria Bartormeu wants to finalise the transfer of Rabiot before the club’s match against Sevilla in the Spanish Super Cup on August 12th.

Messi wants Barca to bring Rabiot from the French capital to Catalonia this summer

AS have reported in the past that Rabiot could end up costing the club up to €40M, a price that would be a steal for a player of his quality and ability.

The French international has managed to make himself a very important player in the PSG ranks, as he’s cemented a place in the French giants’ first team these past few years.

This season just gone has to go down as Rabiot’s best in a PSG shirt, as the midfielder clocked up five goals and seven assists in 50 appearances.

Barca signing Rabiot would be a huge coup for the club, and would definitely help them fill the Andres Iniesta-shaped void that’s been left at the Nou Camp this summer.
