Real Madrid handed transfer boost as Italian giants reduce target’s asking price by €40M

Real Madrid have been given a transfer boost by Serie A outfit Lazio, after it was reported that the club have reduced Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s price from €150M to €110M.

This is according to Don Balon, who note that the Lazio midfielder has been linked with transfers to Barcelona, Real and Chelsea, and that both Los Blancos and the Blues are the keenest to sign him.

The report also states that Milinkovic-Savic’s possible arrival would be good as he could be used as a possible replacement for either Toni Kroos and Luka Modric, who the report notes have offers to leave the Bernabeu this summer.

Lazio reducing Milinkovic-Savic’s asking price will be music to Madrid’s ears

Milinkovic-Savic would be a really fantastic signing for Los Blancos should he move to the Spanish capital this summer, as the player proved last season with Lazio that he is capable of performing in one of the world’s biggest and best leagues.

This season just gone, the Serbian international scored 14 and assisted eight in 47 appearances in all competitions for the Italian outfit, a very impressive return for a player who is usually deployed in the centre of midfield.

This form saw Milinkovic-Savic go the World Cup with Serbia this summer, however the 23-year-old wasn’t able to help his nation go further than the group stage.

The Serbian would be a great buy for €110M, now it just remains to be seen as to whether Real are willing to pay this price for one of Serie A’s hottest prospects.
