Video: Fabinho misses penalty vs Torino, Liverpool ace won’t want to see poor effort again

Fabinho had a great opportunity to bag a goal in Liverpool’s pre-season friendly with Torino on Tuesday night, but the Brazilian unfortunately fluffed his lines.

The Reds were in action in their final outing before the Premier League campaign kicks off at the weekend when they host West Ham United at Anfield.

In turn, Jurgen Klopp would have been eager to see his players enjoy a positive run-out, but it didn’t quite go to plan to start with as Fabinho missed from the penalty spot, as seen in the video below.

Having arrived at Liverpool this summer from Monaco, scoring a goal in front of the Reds faithful before the competitive action starts would arguably have been ideal for him.

However, he dragged his poor penalty wide of the goal and he’ll want to forget about it as soon as possible. Fortunately for him, Roberto Firmino and Georginio Wijnaldum scored soon after to ensure that Liverpool did eventually take the lead.

Further, provided he finds the back of the net when it really matters, Klopp will undoubtedly let him off on this occasion..
