Man City are reportedly weighing up an emergency loan swoop for Real Madrid and Costa Rica shot-stopper Keylor Navas after Claudio Bravo sustained an injury.

This is according to the Sun, who are re-reporting and translating an article from AS, who state that the Citizens are weighing up a loan swoop for the Costa Rican to be back-up to first choice ‘keeper Ederson.

The report also states that former Barcelona man Bravo sustained an achilles injury, something that City fans certainly wouldn’t have wanted to hear with the transfer window having shut just under two weeks ago.

City could make a move to bring in Navas as back-up for Ederson this season

City signing Navas could be a serious coup for the club, as it means they would then have two outstanding goalkeepers on their books, only if it’s for a short period of time.

The former Levante ‘keeper has shown during his time in the Spanish capital that he deserves to be labelled as one of the best in the world in his position.

The player’s displays in the Champions League have been nothing short of fantastic, with these performances going a long way to helping the club win the trophy a record three consecutive times.

If City can get this deal over the line in time, it’ll definitely be problem solved in their search for a back-up for current superstar Ederson.
