Barcelona look set to miss out on the signing of Bayern Munich and Spain defender Juan Bernat, as PSG have reportedly agreed a €15M deal with the German giants for the player

As per RMC Sport, Bayern have agreed a €15M deal with PSG for Bernat, and that the fee does not include bonuses.

Don Balon have reported previously that Barcelona were keen on bringing in the 25-year-old as back-up for current first choice left-back Jordi Alba, however this looks like wishful thinking now given this recent report from RMC.

Bernat looks to be on his way to PSG, something that won’t be good news for Barca

With Lucas Digne now gone from the Nou Camp, bringing in Bernat from Bayern would’ve been a smart move from Barca, as it would’ve meant they’d’ve solid cover for Alba for the season ahead.

PSG’s options at left-back aren’t the best, as current first choice player in that position Layvin Kurzawa is hardly world class, so signing Bernat seems like the perfect move for the French giants to make.

Bernat hasn’t really managed to cement his place in Bayern’s starting line-up these past few seasons due to him having to compete with the brilliant David Alaba.

However, should his move to PSG end up going through, it looks like the Spaniard will get his chance to shine at one of Europe’s top clubs this season.
